Not everybody would understand the life of a freelancer and of course not everybody is aware what a freelancer is and the cons and pros behind it.


We are living in the modern generations today wherein technologies play a great role in life’s success of most people working online or better known as freelancer. Freelancer or also known as freelance worker is the term usually use to describe a person who’s self-employed and mostly not committed to an employer. They offer different services, and often have multiple jobs from different clients.


Pros of being a Freelancer

Here are some of the advantages of being a freelancer

1. Freedom in finding clients- freelancers can find their clients to work with. They can also work for different clients if they wanted to.


2. Exposure- being a freelancer you can work in different variety of jobs, you may also broaden your knowledge in different jobs when you are a freelancer.


3. Flexible- as a freelancer you can choose the way you work, part-time or full-time? It is up to you.

4. Independence- you can work in the comfort of your home, free to go to the bathroom and most of all, you have the ability to work alone, without any managers or superiors to supervise you.


5. Less in cost of commuting- most freelancers work from their home; it lessens the cost in commuting


6. Unlimited earning-as long as you have client,

you have unlimited earnings

7. No office issues and politics-because

you’re self-employed

8. Casual attire- you can wear whatever you wanted

9. Travel at your own convenience- you can travel or take vacation while working as long as you have those important things you needed for your job.


Cons of being a Freelancer

Here are some of the disadvantages of being a freelancer


1.Lack of Benefits- since freelancers are self-employed, they are responsible for finding and funding their own insurances aside from that most freelancers are not entitled in bonuses. However, there are clients who offers insurances and bonuses to freelancers. You’re lucky if you have such client.

2. No job security- since freelancer works remotely, there is no job security coming from their client.


3.Inconsistent work- especially for those freelancers who have multiple number of clients and different jobs.



4. Juggling multiple clients- instead of having one boss you have several clients to answer to


5.No maternity or paternity leaves

6.Independence- no one will back you up when you’re sick or injured





Conclusion

Those are the pros and cons of being a freelancer. Some take it as an advantage while some were not. Well, maybe it depends upon the scenario. Whatever situation it is, you've chosen it, so you'd better enjoy it and leave all the negativity behind.
